Dempsey’s Muffins, Bagels and Breakfast serves up Medford’s best… muffins, bagels and breakfast. This family run, eat-in/take out restaurant has focused on serving up fresh, homemade breakfast and lunch items since 1995. Try their egg and cheese bagel sandwiches, made with fluffy fresh eggs and hot melty cheese on your choice of bagel. Their buttermilk pancakes are super light and come out hot off the griddle, ready to soak up butter and real maple syrup. Or if you like protein for breakfast, order the 8 oz. steak and eggs special. Get there early and snag one of three outdoor umbrella tables! Lunch is all fresh green salads, sandwiches on your choice of bread, or you can go all out with the Dempsey bacon cheeseburger. There's something for everyone at Dempsey’s. On Salem Street (Route 60) at Lambert Street. T accessible: Bus#101 from Malden Center. Cash only! Also in Everett.

This is a really top-notch place. It's kind of in a random location, but it's worth the journey out to Medford. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant. If you're looking to conserve on cash, sit at the bar and enjoy a fabulous glass of wine and an appetizer.
what I can't explain are all the clown paintings they have all over the place (even in the bathroom!!)
